NetworkING - Gold


The Gold NetworkING service adds to the features of the Silver level, and reduces costs in the event that further work is required on your network - click for a comparison. In addition to the Silver Service, subscribing to Gold gets you the following:

  • Acceptable Use Policy
    Do your staff know what they’re allowed to do with your computers, or do you wait until there’s a problem, for example, with someone spending a lot of time using the Internet for non-work related purposes. We’ll help you put together an easy-to-understand policy for your staff to sign, so that everyone knows where they stand.
  • Three on-site network tune-ups per year
    Just like the visit at Silver level, but more often.
  • 4 hour response time guaranteed
    We’ll respond with four hours, guaranteed, instead of eight.
  • 6 twenty minute remote support sessions per month
    A larger number of free problems fixed each month
  • 50% discount on standard break-fix and installation fees
    Site visits and additional problems become even cheaper to fix.
  • Flat disaster recovery fee of £500
    A further discount on recovering from a disaster
  • Server and desktop management
    Additional services over and above those supplied at Silver level
    • Service pack management – when Microsoft release a major set of fixes to an operating system (called a Service Pack), we’ll install it on all your machines.
    • Account maintenance – We’ll take responsibility over which of your users can access your data, and remove them when they leave.
    • Software change notification – We’ll tell you if someone installs software you don’t know about on one of your machines.
    • Hardware change notification – We’ll also tell you if someone installs additional hardware on one of your machine, even if it’s a memory stick that someone’s using to take a copy of your customer list!
    • Bandwidth monitoring – We’ll keep an eye on the health of your Internet connection, and make sure you’re getting what you pay your ISP for.
    • Asset management – We can tell you anything you want to know about your network, for example which machines have insufficient memory and how many software licences you have.

These services are available for a fixed monthly fee, payable via standing order and based on the size of your network. The price is calculated as follows:

  • Network fee of £160 per month – covers the first server, one broadband router, WLAN access points, unmanaged hubs/switches and printers

  • £40 for each additional server (ie, separate file server, remote services server, etc)

  • £20 for each desktop/laptop machine on the network, including remote machines
