NetworkING - Silver
The Silver level of the NetworkING
service gives your business access to the most important benefits of a
properly managed network, and means that there's always someone you can
call on if you have a problem. Specific services are listed below, and a
comparison of the three service levels is also available.
- Initial network audit
This is a twenty-seven point audit of your existing systems,
designed to pinpoint problems and provide a basis for setting up you
support programme.
- Full system documentation
We compile a folder containing all the information required to
maintain your network – passwords, security questions, support
telephone numbers, etc. We keep a copy on file and you have a copy
for your company safe, so you have everything you need on site to
keep your network going.
- Annual on-site network
tune-up
A visit from one of our technicians to check through your network,
carry out a test restore on the backup. Think of it as an MOT for
your network.
- 8 hour response time
guaranteed
If you have a problem, you can contact us via phone, e-mail, text or
automated ticket. We’ll return your call within eight working hours,
and start on the solution.
- 3 twenty minute remote
support sessions per month
Using our sophisticated network management tools, nearly all
problems can be resolved quickly and easily by our taking over the
machine from our offices and operating it remotely. The first three
issues handled this way each month are included.
- 25% discount on normal
fees for site visits or additional remote support
Additional remote support sessions and any
required site visits are at a 25% discount on our usual rate.
- Flat disaster recovery
fee of £1000
If you have a complete disaster – for
example, a fire that takes out all your computers – it can take days
to get your data back to a useable state. Provided an approved
backup process has been carried out, with copies store off-site, we
will assist you for a fixed fee of £1,000, no matter how long it
takes.
- Full ticketing and
helpdesk facility
When you have a problem, you can call us,
e-mail or use the provided ticketing software to tell us about it.
We can answer questions on the operating system and common
applications (Office, etc), and liaise with any supplier of
specialist software, such as accounting programs or industry
specific applications.
- Server and desktop
management
This is the day to day monitoring and
maintenance of all of your servers and desktop machines.
- Patch management – Ensures
that all your machines are constantly updated with the latest
updates, security patches and fixes to emerging problems. This
is especially important to protect your machines and data from
whatever new attack has been thought up by the underground
hacker community.
- Event log, performance and
service monitoring – We keep a constant eye on all your
machines, and set up alarms to tell us when important things
happen on your network – for example, if your email server
fails, we’ll probably know about it before you do.
- Virus/spyware log monitoring –
We check each day to ensure that all of your machines are clear
of any viruses and spyware, and that they know about all the
latest variants.
- Backup log monitoring (server
only) – If you’re running a backup procedure (and you should
be), we’ll be checking every day to make sure that it’s actually
working. You don’t want to find out that it’s been failing for
months when you really need it.
- Reporting – You’ll receive a
single page report each month, giving you a complete overview of
what’s been happening on your network.
These
services are available for a fixed monthly fee, payable via
standing order and based on the size of your network. The price
is calculated as follows:
-
Network
fee of £120 per month – covers the first server, one
broadband router, WLAN access points, unmanaged
hubs/switches and printers
-
£20 for
each additional server (ie, seperate file server, remote
services server, etc.
-
£10 for
each desktop/laptop machine on the network, including remote
machines
